Not because the site says so. Each of these can be checked on your own machine.

Every Mac build carries our Developer ID signature and has passed Apple's notary service, so it opens with a double-click.
Updates are signed, not just served
The apps check each update against a key built into them. Someone who took over the download server could offer a file; the app would refuse to install it.
One address per app
update.totemsurf.app and update.totemget.com are the only places the apps update from. A copy forwarded in a chat is the one real risk.
No trackers on this site
No analytics, no cookies, no fonts or scripts from anyone else. Visiting this site tells nobody but us.
